At any time in our lives, we are faced with challenges. As a professional, wife, and mother of three children, I know firsthand how difficult it can be. Our challenges can often be our greatest teachers and our most important lessons. My own personal journey with anxiety and trauma has helped me to understand my professional purpose of assisting others through these challenges of life.
My intention is to aid other people who are also struggling. When I am helping you, I will work with your whole person, not just the symptoms of your challenges. By understanding the issue at a greater depth, the root of the challenge can be dealt with and the symptoms will be naturally eased.
In other words, I will be teaching you how to navigate your own ship, regardless of whether the waters are calm or stormy.
To do this, I bring together a very effective combination of EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) and CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy). Throughout my 24 years of professional experience as a therapist, I have been using EFT and CBT to assist people who are struggling with: anxiety disorders, panic disorders, substance abuse, domestic violence, and trauma, by way of individual counseling, family counseling, and couples therapy.
I have a B.S. in Human Services from New Hampshire College and a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.
I am also a Family Herbalist and have been an adjunct faculty member at Western Connecticut State University, teaching classes on herbology and wellness. I conduct workshops and presentations throughout the Northeast for organizations and universities and am currently is a EFT consultant at Newport Academy.
I look forward to hearing from you so that we can work together while I bring you the navigation you have been seeking as you stand at the helm of your ship.
